Free Range/Fair Chase Whitetail Deer Hunts
All deer hunts take place on our 1200 acres of private low fence property located approximately 10 miles Southeast of Boswell, Oklahoma. We are within 1 mile of the Red River which benefits our deer population and genetics. Our hunts are all free range fair chase. We will do the very best we can to provide the best shot opportunity, however, we can not guarantee harvest of an animal. We limit the number of hunts offered each year to ensure that our known population and whitetail buck to whitetail doe ratio remains healthy to provide you with the best opportunity. Our deer herds are fed and maintained with proper nutrition including protein and food plots. Our property is a working ranch and is surrounded by fields that are regularly planted and maintained which assists us in our deer herd management.
Hunts booked for multiple days include bunk style lodging, meals and non -alcoholic beverages. Our lodging is bunk style, which means there are no private rooms available. An indoor restroom, shower and kitchen facility are available. Transportation to and from stands and blinds is provided whether semi or fully guided hunt is chosen. Downwind Guide Service will provide stands, blinds with chairs, and lifelines to tether your safety equipment to. Hunters MUST provide their own safety harness if hunting in an open elevated stand. Not included: proper hunting license, skinning and quartering, meat processing, or taxidermy. These can be included for an additional fee or references can be provided for you to completed on your own.
Semi-Guided Hunts
Semi-guided deer hunts provide hunters with transportation to and from the stand or blind. A guide will not sit with you and you will be responsible for your own hunt with minimal guidance. You will be placed in a location on the property that will provide you with the best opportunity based on what your goal is. A series of questions will determine what fits best for each hunter in addition to weather and other factors that can hinder shot opportunity. Please remember, these are free range hunts and Downwind Guide Service makes no guarantees on harvest. Hunter MUST provide their own hunting license, safety harness, weapon, ammunition, and clothing.
Archery hunts: 5 days/5 nights includes lodging, meals, and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 whitetail buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 2 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $2500 per hunter.
Muzzleloader: 4 days/4 nights includes lodging, meals and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 whitetail buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 1 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $2250 per hunter.
Rifle: 4 days/4 nights includes lodging, meals and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 whitetail buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 1 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $3000 per hunter.
Fully Guided Hunt
Fully guided hunts are designed for hunters that are less experienced or want to have the comfort of an experienced guide with them for maximum opportunity. These hunts consist of transportation to and from the hunting location which will be chosen based on the best location that has multiple stands or blinds for more than 1 person. Your experienced guide will assist you with shot placement and when to shoot. He/She will give you tips and instructions to make your hunt as productive as possible. Hunter MUST provide their own safety harness, weapon, ammunition, and clothing.
Archery hunts: 5 days/5 nights includes lodging, meals, and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 2 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $2500 per hunter.
Muzzleloader : 4 days/4 nights includes lodging, meals and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 1 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $2250 per hunter.
Rifle : 4 days/4 nights includes lodging, meals and non-alcoholic beverages. Harvest of 1 buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", 1 doe, unlimited hogs and varmints - $3000 per hunter.
One Day Hunts
One day hunts are designed for the hunter that has a limited amount of time to hunt or does not have a group of 2 people or more. These are usually good for a meat hunt or a hunter wanting to harvest only 1 deer. Hunter will provide their own license, meals, safety equipment and clothing. Transportation to and from stands or blinds is provided by Downwind Guide Service. Day hunts can be either semi-guided or fully guided. Lodging, meals and non-alcoholic beverages are NOT included in day hunts. Lodging may be added for an additional fee pending availability if added days are desired.
Archery/Rifle: full day hunt includes transportation to and from stand or blind and harvest of 1 doe- $500 per day per hunter. There will be an additional $1000 fee added for harvest of a buck no less than 3.5 years old or 120", $500 for an additional doe (2 person minimum)
